Ondo Deputy Governor To Inaugurate Owo LG Campaign Council For Aiyedatiwa On Sunday

The recently unveiled Owo Local Government Campaign Council for the re-election of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa and his Deputy Chief Olayide Adelami will be inaugurated on Sunday, 27 October 2024.

According to the Secretary of the Campaign Committee Management Committee, Chief (Barr.) Alaba Eniola- Ajipe, Owo Local Government Campaign Council and various Campaign Committees will be inaugurated on Sunday, 27th October 2024 by 2.00pm at the Local Government Party Secretariat, Former NEPA office, Oke – Ogun, Owo, Ondo State.

“The Official Inauguration is strictly for Chairmen and Secretaries of the Various Campaign Committees, while the Chairmen and Secretaries are expected to thereafter organize their respective Campaign Committee’s inauguration on their own,” Chief Ajipe said.

Expected to attend the inauguration are the Deputy Governor, Dr Olayide Owolabi Adelami, Honourable (Mrs) Wumi Isaac, Hon. Femi Idris, the chairman, Ondo State Local Government Service Commission, Chief Femi Omosanya, Commissioner Federal Character Commission, Mrs Olajumoke Anifowoshe, a former Ondo State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice and host of other federal and state appointees.

The Owo Local Government Campaign Council was set up after due consultations among the stakeholders in the ancient city of Owo to mobilise support and votes for the re-election of Governor Aiyetidawa and his deputy Adelami in the forthcoming gubernatorial election holding in Ondo State, southwest Nigeria.

A press statement by the Chairman of the Media Committee of the Campaign Council, Mr Olatunbosun Oladimeji, had earlier announced a 46-man Campaign Council in Owo LGA. Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Chief Olayide Adelami is the Chairman of the Council with Dr. Akin Awodeyi-Akinsehinwa appointed as the Director General, Chief T.S. Akinrinbola is the Deputy Chairman, while the chairman of the APC in Owo Local Government area, Hon. S. O. Balogun is the Vice Chairman. Chief Alaba Ajipe is the Secretary of the Campaign Committee Management Committee.

Members of the Campaign Council also include Mrs. Wumi Isaac, Hon. Wole Ogunmolasuyi, Hon. Mrs. Morenike Witherspoon Chief Samuel Adegbegi, all the LCDA Chairmen, Chief Mrs. Jumoke Anifowose, Chief Alex Ajipe, Chief Jamiu Ekungba, Hon. Adeyemi Olayemi Koko , Chief Tokunbo Ajasin, Mr. Femi Osedimbola, Alh. Yunisa Adeola, Mr. Mike Oluwabonmi, Hon. Yusuf Isiaka Elegberenban, Dr. Alaba Lad-Ojomo, Dr. Monday Duromola Templer, Hon. Femi Idris, Chief Olufemi Omosanya, Chief Monday Olanitori, Mr. Labi Daramola and Engr. Musa Mukaila.

Others are Mr..Yemi Mahmud, Chief T.J. Adeleye, Pastor Olumolawa, Chief Gbenga Ale, Pastor Olubunmi Akelebe, Alhaji Kareem Aminu, Engr. Morakinyo Aregbede, Mr. Sikiru Obanoyen, Barr. Kola Olawoye, Chief Semiu Adigun, Dr. Kola Falohun, Alh. Usman Isiaka Olatigbe, Hon. Olasunkanmi Akinrogbe, Princess Ademulegun Brown, Hon Fatai Lawal, Mr Gbenga Eleduma, Bolanle Olajide, Deola Toeed Omoloja, Mr. Akinyemi Farayola, Mrs. Abebi Adeniseun and Ademola Taofeek Adewale.

Various committees were also constituted with members made public in the press statement. The committees include Finance Committee headed by the Deputy Governor, Campaign Committee is chaired by Hon. Gani Omoluka, Contact and Mobilization Committee headed by Chief Olufemi Omosanya, Election/Strategy Committee is being headed by Hon. Wole Ogunmolasuyi, while Engr. Musa Mukaila chaired Rural Mobilization and Campaign Committee.

Other committees are the Welfare/Entertainment Committee headed by Princess Funmilayo Ademulegun -Brown, the Women Mobilization Committee has Mrs Funke Aruna as its chairman, Hon. Tope Omolayo heads the Artisan and Trade Union Committee, Market Women Mobilization Committee has Princess Folasade Ogunoye as its chairman, Veteran Journalist, Mr Olatunbosun Oladimeji heads Media and Publicity Committee, while Chief Adetunji Adeleye to chair the security committee. The Medical & Health Committee has Dr. Lad Ojomo as its chairman, Barr. Kola Olawoye, SAN heads the Legal Committee, the Special Interest Committee is headed by Mr. Okeowo Rotimi, and the Non-Indigene Mobilization Committee is chaired by Alh. Yunusa Adeola.

The committee to relate with traditional and opinion leaders will be chaired by Hon. Ajibola Adegoroye, Youth and Students Mobilization Committee has Hon. Oluwole Olugbode as its chairman, Advisory Committee is headed by Mr. Femi Osedimbola.

Committee on Inter-Religion Sub-Committee on Christian Faith & Mobilization is having Prophet Adekunle Taiwo-Bright as its chairman, while the Sub-Committee on Muslim Faith & Mobilization will be headed by Chief Jamiu Ekungba and INEC Committee is being headed by Hon Femi Idris.
