Ooni’s Queen, Temitope Ogunwusi Congratulates Funke Akindele

Her Regal Majesty, Olori Ambassador Dr Temitope Enitan-Ogunwusi has extended her heartfelt congratulations to the talented actress and producer, Funke Akindele, on her latest movie release, “A Tribe Called Judah.” which broke every box office record and became the first Nollywood film to gross N1 billion, according to filmoneng, the distributors of the movie.

This remarkable film not only captivates audiences with its compelling storyline but also sheds light on the struggles faced by less privileged families in Nigerian society.

Her Regal Majesty described the movie “A Tribe Called Judah” as a powerful reminder of the importance of supporting and giving hope to those who are less fortunate, saying that it highlights the need for both government and individuals to step up and make a difference in the lives of underprivileged communities and families, ensuring they have access to a brighter future.

According to Her Regal Majesty, the inspiring part of the movie which left her with a big concern for our society, is the storyline that delves into the lives of underprivileged families, showcasing their struggles for survival, resilience, dreams, and aspirations, with no or limited support, adding that these are indeed the typical challenges faced by many less privileged families in Nigeria.

She said that as a society, it is our collective responsibility to address the plight of the less privileged and create an environment where they can thrive.

She also noted that Funke Akindele’s movie, A Tribe Called Judah, is worth every celebration of its global impacts and groundbreaking achievement earning of N1 billion in just three weeks of its release.

In the spirit of supporting and applauding the Nigerian film industry, Her Regal Majesty urged producers, actors, and actresses to continue to tell stories that shape the continent positively in achieving a balanced society, believing in the theme of togetherness in keeping as many Hopes as possible Alive.
