Peter Obi & His False Hope

For Peter Obi to use that 1993 case to nail Tinubu, he needs to get NDLEA to try to convict Tinubu. Individuals can not institute a criminal lawsuit against another individual except government establishments like the Police, EFCC, ICPC, NAFDAC, etc depending on the laws the person violates.
That Tinubu’s 1993 case, HAS BEEN DISMISSED WITH PREJUDICE on 30th September, 1993. It is inside the court papers you people are parading, of which many have not sat down to read.
It is a criminal offence in the United States of America, to revisit that case because the matter has been dismissed with prejudice. So therefore, if Obi wants to prosecute Tinubu (through NDLEA😆) he needs witnesses from the government of the United States, and that will not be possible. It amounts to contempt of court for any American citizen or agent to stand as a witness in that matter in any court worldwide. DO YOU SEE HOW PITIABLE, PATHETIC AND LAUGHABLE Obi’s action is for bringing up the case?
Nigeria’s constitution places a 10-year ban on convicted Nigerians from seeking elective positions. Tinubu was never arrested, tried, or imprisoned, let’s assume the case can stand, 1993 to date is 30 years.
The issue of submitting party registers 30 days before primaries is not a “pre-election matter” but a CONSTITUTIONAL REQUIREMENT. You must be a member of a political party at least 30 days before its primaries. In law, you don’t build something on nothing.
Regarding the issue of Shettima and double nomination, Appeal Court has ruled on that, Atiku took it to court and lost.
Regarding the issue of INEC and BVAS, Labour Party took it to court, Appeal Court ruled on that, and this was the judgment, “INEC has the prerogative to choose what mode to use to transmit result”.
Regarding the issue of 25% in FCT, everywhere the 36 states of the Federation are mentioned in the Constitution, it is 36 STATES OF THE FEDERATION AND FCT. You know better.
Obi’s lawyers want the court proceedings to be televised live, the reason is simple, “they want the whole world to see what has transpired”, but I disagree with them. The whole Obi Movement is run on media and propaganda. The election was not a perfect one, an imperfect system in a third-world country can not have a perfect election. What we are saying is for the election to reflect the will of the people… That was largely achieved. I rate the election 80% in this regard.
We have over 179,000 polling units, if the election of that of 160,000 is perceived to be credible, we are good to go. But the Obi Team are bent on discrediting the whole process, they will focus on the areas of imperfections to blow it out of proportion and their online blog warriors are on ground to generate unsolicited narratives to drive online traffic and create more tensions hence endangering court and Judicial officials and by extension, National Security. For this reason, as good as it is, I strongly oppose the live telecast of the court proceedings.
Obi claims his 900,000 votes were canceled, even if he can prove that claim, Tinubu’s winning margin is above 2 Million, Tinubu will still lead him with over 1.3 Million votes… This is where you hear that “there were irregularities, BUT IT IS NOT SUBSTANTIAL ENOUGH”.
Obi lost the election in the north, his running mate lost his Polling Unit, Ward, Local Government, State, and Zone. He was far behind in the two zones of the core north.
This is how the north voted, Christians voted Obi. Fulanis, and their allies voted Atiku, and none-Fulani Muslims who are grieved by the excesses of banditry, herdsmen, and “nepotism” of Buhari’s government voted Tinubu. This is why Tinubu won Benue, the Idomas voted for Obi, the Tivs who have greater voting strengths who are more hit by Fulani herdsmen crises don’t want to have anything to do with Peter Obi’s running mate who is Fulani or Atiku who is another “Fulani”. These dynamics are why Tinubu won Kogi, Kwara, Niger, Zamfara, and Jigawa and has impressive votes from Hausas and none Fulani tribes who are fighting for their identity and to free themselves from Fulani grip.
The only Muslim-controlled state Obi won was Nassarawa, and this is because of the Abuja Obi effect that spilled from Mararaba to Keffi and the indigenes who rose against the Muslim-Controlled leadership mechanism that has held the state from inception.
If you are telling me that the Christian votes in the north were strong enough to make Obi win, then ask yourself how many Christian governors have these votes produced in Sokoto, Kebbi, Zamfara, Niger, Kogi, Kwara, Kano, Katsina, Kaduna, Bauchi, Borno, Yobe and Gombe?
Finally, as you sit in Lagos praying Tinubu should not win because of the excesses of “Agberos”, the man in Gboko sees Tinubu as the man to free him from the grip of herdsmen, the man in Zamfara sees him as the man that will free him from the grip of bandits who are predominately from a particular ethnic group that has a strong link with Datti & Atiku.
In all honesty, with due respect to your sensibility, there is nothing in that case. 2027 politics has started, and this court drama will be a launchpad for 2027 realignment.
Good Day, Nigeria!
