Police Bust 2 Women For Multi-Million Naira Visa Scam In Lagos 

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened from January 2023 to December 2025 at 264, Ipaja Road, Post Office Bus Stop, Ipaja area of Lagos.

The suspects were apprehended for allegedly obtaining over N40m from the victims under the false pretence of procuring Canadian visas, which turned out to be a scam.

The victims were said to have paid the following amount to the suspects: Jamiu Kazeem Kayode: ₦1.5mm Jonathan Oladiran: ₦8.8m, Adewunmi Abduljelili: ₦3.9m, Julius Olajide ₦12m,  Musedq Rasheed O. ₦2.9m and Ogundipe Olusegun: ₦7.3m.

After the victims paid the various amount of money to the suspects, they disappeared and disconnected every communication they had with the victims and did not procure any visa for them.

The matter was reported to the Police at Ipaja Division. The Police operatives moved into action, eventually arrested the suspects and detained them at the station for interrogation over their alleged conduct.

While being interrogated, the suspects admitted to have collected the money, did not procure any visa for them and had no money to refund them.

The Police found them culpable and charged them before the Ejigbo Magistrate Court for conspiracy and obtaining under false pretence, which attracts several years of imprisonment.

However, they pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Inspector Simeon Njue, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since they pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that they actually committed the alleged offence.

The Presiding Magistrate, F.R Ogunkoyede, granted them bail with sureties, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.

The matter was adjourned till 20th February, 2026, for mention while the defendants were remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when they will perfect their bail conditions.
