Police operatives from Meiran Division, led by SP Shokunbi Toyosi, have rescued a 14-year old girl, who was abducted, raped for six days and then taken to a native doctor for money rituals in Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the victim (name withheld) was picked by one Alamilekan Ganiyu a.k.a Machinery, on 20th September, 2020, at Abule Egba area and taken to Omi Ata, Ekoro area, where he kept her in captivity and molested her for days.

The girl was said to have absconded from home and was roaming the streets before she met Ganiyu, who offered to assist her, then took her to his house where he defiled and damaged her private part badly.

Having satisfied himself, he then took her to a native doctor, one Kazeem Adedeji, who had requested for a human being in order to perform money rituals. The native doctor then gave the girl a concoction to drink and she became unconscious.

The said native doctor, Adedeji, also known as Ifatunmiae, was said to have used the victim to prepare some concoctions and made incantations with a fowl and then Ganiyu drank the blood of the fowl.

However, the whole thing leaked after information got to the Police at Meiran Division, where it was reported that the girl was missing. She was rescued and rushed to Agege General Hospital, where she was treated. She regained consciousness and revealed what happened.

Both Ganiyu and Adedeji were then arrested and taken to the Gender Section of the Police Command in Ikeja for further investigation after they reportedly confessed that they performed certain rituals with the victim.

This was disclosed by the Campaign for the Defence of Human Rights, which has called on the Police to carry out thorough investigation in order to arrest those involved for prosecution over the alleged offence.

When P.M.EXPRESS went to Meiran Police Division, where the suspects were initially detained, the DPO was not in the office; she was said to have gone to the State Command in Ikeja for briefing.

However, sources at the Police Station said that the suspects had been transferred to the Gender Section for further investigation.
Sources at the Gender Section at the State Police Command confirmed the transfer of the suspects, who were said to be making confessional statements and hinted that they will be charged to Court after the conclusion of investigations.
