Nollywood actress and producer, Funke Akindele and her new husband Adbulrasheed Bello, music artiste/producer, popularly known as JJC Skillz, have revealed that they chose to have a very quiet wedding on 23 August in London, United Kingdom because they didn’t want their union to be a public spectacle.

In a statement on behalf of the couple on Tuesday by the popular actress’s PR reps, Biodun Kupoluyi, they chose to take their nuptial away from the prying eyes of the world because neither of them wanted to be at the center of attention having been on that lane before.

“The decision to do it quietly was right for us and we pray for the understanding of our close friends and fans at this offer of a lifetime moment,” Kupoluyi stated on behalf of the celebrity couple.

He continued, “At a good time, we shall look back and in appreciation of divine grace and your support, we shall celebrate milestones and where we are in life.”

Kupoluyi noted that the actress and her hubby are still in London where they are presently shooting “Jenifa In London”, a new episode for Jenifa’s Diary, the popular running sit-com on many Nigerian television stations.

Jenifa In London, it was gathered would be premiered at events both in London and Lagos.

The hubby, JJC Skilz, is a multi-talented musician, producer and a leading member of the JJC and 419 Squad based in London. Until his decision to marry Funke, he was blessed with three children who are grown up and living in the United Kingdom.

He never married but Funke on her part was once married to a Lagos socialite and serial polygamist, Kehinde Oloyede; a marriage that was shaky within months of the fairytale wedding and crashed under a year.

The new couple would return to Nigeria soon.
