Re: Ogene What Has Osodieme Done To Deserve This Kind Of Betrayal By You & Gwacham’s Family?

I stumbled on this misguided presentation credited to one Chijioke, on behalf of Osodieme 4 Senate Campaign Office and I shuddered. While I still instinctively think that it was a faceless hatchet job, I cannot stop wondering why the attitude of the current Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, on what politics should look like isn’t rubbing off on some people. I had put a call across to Dr. Harris Chuma-Odili Ogene Ogbunike to authenticate the veracity of the claims and lo and behold he had not seen it; when he did, he expressed shock at the claims represented there.

First of all, he told me as a friend that he has no reason to betray Osodieme, whom he regards as a sister, who hails from Ogbunike like him. “Google is available everywhere and everyone can see the various media publications, both interviews and opinions credited to me in support of Osodieme during her days in office. I have no quarrels with her whatsoever”.

So where did the group get their claims from? He suspects they are a faceless group, probably unknown to Osodieme, but e-thugs, who are promoting Uchenna Okafor’s ambition to represent Oyi/Ayamelum at the Green Chambers. Mediocre minds, who parade as media aides seeking relevance.But the development is toxic to what politics should be. And the mechanism in APGA should purge the system of this ludicrous bunch harvesting from image-smearing. 

Also, I was meant to understand that the Gwachams are on very cordial relationship with Osodieme contrary to the claims put forward by the group.While such infantile claims should not be dignified with any response I wish to stress that perhaps the aspirations of Maureen Gwacham may be sending some shivers down some spines. But that is expected when a political space sees a rare gem without blemish, in the arena. Ogene captures it succinctly: 

“I have a great candidate, who is from Ogbunike and I cannot leave her and support another person. Maureen Gwacham has great credentials and she can do the job better, so I am supporting her in the interest of my people from Ogbunike. Also, I support competence which Maureen Gwacham represents. There’s no conspiracy or slanderous campaign that will make me to withdraw my support for Maureen Gwacham. You see, there has been confusion and panic in the camp of opposition since I declared my support for Maureen. The  inconsequential elements know that the game is over. Take it to bank, the good people of Oyi/Ayamelum Federal Constituency have thrown massive support behind Lady Maureen. She will win the ticket, and will take APGA to landslide victory at the National Assembly polls in 2023″.
