Concerned litigants, Court users and Police Investigating Officers, IPOs have appealed to the Chief Judge of Lagos State, Justice Kazeem Alogba to as a matter of urgency reopen the Igbosere Magistrate’s Court, Lagos for public use to stop the harrowing experience they are going through daily to attend to their cases in other Courts at Ebute-Metta, Yaba and  Surulere Magistrate’s  Court from where they are assigned from Tinubu Magistrate’s Court.

They also appealed to  the Chief Justice to use the same speed with which he built a new High Court at Tappa, Lagos Island within two years to complete the Igbosere Magistrate’s Court and reopen the Court for public use to stop the sufferings they have been passing through for the past five years when the Court was torched by the EndSARS protesters.

Some of those who spoke with our correspondent stated that CJ Alogba have done unprecedented developments and transformation in all the Courts in Lagos State like building new Courts, reconstructions and rehabilitation of others which makes him one of the best Chief Judge Lagos had ever produced.

They said they are now appealing to him to replicate the same achievements at Igbosere Magistrate’s Court and reopen it for use to stop the stress they are facing in assessing other Courts.

According to Mr. John Adoghe, a Litigant, he said “I thanked Chief Judge,  Justice Kazeem Alogba for his unprecedented achievements in the Judiciary in Lagos since he assumed office in areas of building massive infrastructures and renewal  which makes him one of the best CJ Lagos had produced. I am now appealing to him to complete his unparalleled achievements by reopening the Igbosere Magistrate’s Court for use,” Adoghe appealed.

Mr. Babatunde Adisa, another Litigant stated “what really fascinate me about CJ Alogba is about his leadership style of visiting Courts unannounced unlike before when a CJ is about to visit any Court, Court officers will clean up everywhere as if all is well but that CJ Alogba always visit Courts without fanfares or entourage to see things for himself and that is why he is able to transformed the Courts and I am now appealing to him to complete his good job in the Judiciary by reopening the Igbosere Magistrate’s Court for use since the rehabilitation of the Court had been completed,” Adisa stated.

In a related development, concerned Litigants have appealed to CJ Alogba to as matter of urgency provide a sitting place for them at the Tinubu Magistrate’s Court to ease the pains they had been going through since July 2025 when they were dislodged from where they were sitting under the staircase at the Court over alleged noise making  by Court users.

Some of those who spoke with our Correspondent at the Court have appealed to the CJ Alogba to pay an unannounced visit to the Court between 9am and 12pm to see how litigants and Court users are standing due to lack of sitting space at the Court while waiting for their cases to be called.

They said the situation doesn’t befit the Lagos State Judiciary adjudged to be the best in Nigeria and more importantly Lagos State as the Centre of Excellence.
