Robbers Invade Police station, Cart Away Uniforms, Money

Robbers have invaded Alakara police division in Mushin area of Lagos and carted away police uniform and money realized and kept in one of the offices in the station.
The dare-devil robbers reportedly sneaked into the station at about 5 am and gained entrance into the offices where they stole the items and escaped.
Aside uniforms and money, also stolen by the marauders are police beret and belts.
When the police discovered the theft, they went after the robbers and arrested one of them identified as Segun Adewale.
Other suspects were said to have escaped with the items stolen and are at large.
25-year old Adewale was later charged before Isolo Magistrate’s court where he is facing a two count charge of conspiracy and stealing under the criminal Code.
He pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Mr A.U Ojei informed the court the seriousness of the offence the suspect and his gang who are at large committed.
He said the court should consider the bail condition in such a way that will enable the suspect to come and face trial.
The presiding Magistrate, Mrs A.K. Shonubi granted Adewale  bail in the sum of N100, 000 with one surety who must show evidence means of livelihood and evidence of payment of taxes.
Adewale  remanded in prison pending when he will perfect his bail condition. The matter was adjourned till 5 November 2016.
