Robbers have been invaded a popular joint, Link Garden Bar, located within the Ejigbo area of Lagos, robbed some customers of their valuables and escaped.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at the bar located along Ejigbo/Ikotun, while customers were enjoying themselves.

It was gathered that the men of the underworld stormed the place by climbing through the Bar’s fence and threatened the customers before dispossessing them of their valuables.

One of the customers robbed during the operation, one Obinna Chinedu, lost the sum of N180,000 while many other victims were said to have been affected in no small measure during the operation.

The matter was reported to the Police at Ejigbo Division. The operatives moved into action and eventually arrested one of the suspects, Mr. Chris Nana Waddle, 35, for interrogation but he declined to mention the names of his gang members involved in the operation.

He was found culpable after interrogation and subsequently charged before the Ejigbo Magistrates Court for conspiracy, burglary and stealing.

He pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Supol Kenneth Asibor, asked the Court to give another date for hearing to enable the Police to prove that the defendant committed the alleged offence.

Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mr. E O. Ogunkanmi, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum.

The defendant was remanded in Correctional Centre at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when he will perfect his bail conditions.
The matter was adjourned till 8th February, 2021, for mention.
