South West Badminton Championship Lights Up Rowe Park Sports Centre

Mobolaji Johnson Sports Centre, Rowe Park, Yaba, Lagos State came alive Wednesday as the madien South West Badminton Championship began.
According to the Head, Public Relations Unit of the Lagos State Sports Commission, Mrs Titi Oshodi, the competition which has since started will end on Saturday, 10 December, 2016.
The Sports Commission’s image maker said: “The tournament will feature all the six states of the South West region in the country, namely Lagos, the host, Ogun, Oyo, Ondo Osun and Ekiti.
“Four senior male, four senior female players, two U-15 boys and two U-15 girls are to represent each state in the championship.
“The four day competition will also feature top 15 badminton players across Nigeria irrespective of their states .
“We are using this tournament to further expose our players and also keep them in top form as we look forward to the New Year. At any point in time, we want our athletes in all sports to be competition fit and ready to do the state proud in national and international tournaments.
“The Lagos State Sports Commission wish all the participants from the rest of South West states, other parts of the country including our athletes a hitch free tournament, ” Mrs Oshodi said.
