The 5% and 95% Phenomenon: Understanding Soludo’s Political Principle

Posted on June 26, 2021

Soludo does not fail to vocalise his thoughts in private moments of conversation. Whenever he talks you see a different person from the generic personality of an average  political Leader. He speaks straight and from the heart.

According to Soludo, “The whole struggle for ticket and all the hassles that come with winning votes at the general polls, is about 5% of the work expected of a public servant. The bulk of the task of leadership comes after the general polls, where you find the actual 95% of effort required to bring about public good”.

For a better part of our political system, most political Actors understand this conversely. A situation where people commit 95% effort to politicking only to function at an abysmal 5% capacity level when elected.  It is this sort of arrangement that see people frantically working to become leaders with unclear or zero roadmap.

Charley Nwa Mgbafor says his style of politics is strictly about 5% of politics and 95% of deep ended emphasis on public good.

For me, nothing beats this.
