Toke Makinwa Debunks Marriage Tales To Longtime Friend Farouk Umar

Posted on October 21, 2024

Media personality Toke Makinwa has dismissed the rumours surrounding her alleged marriage to longtime friend Farouk Umar.

A clip from her birthday thanksgiving videos which surfaced online Sunday sparked speculations that the two had tied the knot.

The videos had Toke and Farouk dressed in white leading to social media buzz with congratulatory messages.

However, the media personality clarified the situation by sharing a video from the event on social media captioned “Thanksgiving service”.

In a previous post, she reflected on a prophecy she received years ago, which stated that “eyes have not seen, ears have not heard what God is about to do” in her life.

She said she was unsure of her path at the time the prophecy was made, adding that it has come to fruition.

“Today I testify of His goodness. Happy TM Thanksgiving day… Counting down to my birthday,” Toke added.

Toke will be celebrating her 40th birthday on November 3.

Reports suggest that Farouk Umar was previously in a romantic relationship with actress Sharon Ooja.

Among celebrities present at the event were Kate Henshaw, Enioluwa Adeoluwa and BBNaija’s Wanni, Handi and Liquorose.
