Trust Brought Japan To Anambra

Posted on January 31, 2025

Foreign development partners and International organizations are driven by trust. In fact, they are masters of “due diligence”. They go out of their way to establish credibility before they deal with individuals or sub-nationals.

The Embassy of Japan and the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) are the latest in the array of development partners flooding into Anambra in the wake of the Soludo administration.

I am happy to be among State functionaries who received the Deputy Head of Missions Embassy of Japan in Nigeria, Mr. Hitoshi Kozaki. As we exchanged this warm handshake he expressed his delight to be in Anambra and while he spoke, he mentioned that Anambra is the only State after Abuja he has visited since his deployment to Nigeria. It takes a Leader like Soludo to court some of these things.
