Governor Hope Uzodimma has approved the appointment of Mr. Remigius Justice Okoye as the Acting Chairman of Imo State Internal Revenue Service (IIRS).
The appointment is with immediate effect.
Okoye, a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Accountants (FCA), comes into the office with a rich résumé in accounting and related discipline that spans many years.
Governor Uzodimma urged him to deploy all available frameworks within the disposal of his agency to enhance the revenue generation capabilities of the IIRS, thereby improving the financial base of the State Government to enable her provide the much needed dividends of democracy to the citizens.
The Governor further congratulated Okoye on his appointment.
