Verdant Zeal, a Pan- African multidisciplinary marketing and communications Group has activated another phase of capabilities with the launch of a new web platform known as ArchHub Africa (AHA!).

The AHA!’s launch was heralded with the premiere of its first original short film titled The Delegates held on Thursday October 20, 2022 at the EbonyLife Place in Victoria Island, Lagos.

The plot for The Delegates — an innovative short film shot in an elementary school which has over 40 children as the cast alongside Ayo Adesanya and Okey Uzoeshi— portrays the social malfeasance of politics in our society and how society encourages it and ultimately pays for their ignorance, greed, and lack of vision.

Speaking at the premiere, Mr. Dipo Adesida, the Chief Operating Officer, Verdant Zeal, stated that AHA! was formed to be the fulcrum for creating contents who are engaging, educational, entertaining, and durable with Nigerian and African themes.

“What we want to do is to create content that would wow the audience and thus bring into conversations things that people know about but in a format that is interesting. We want to be able to bring some social issues to life and bring some certain characters to life,” he said.

The Verdant Zeal COO added that ‘The Delegates’ is the first of more productions— short and feature films— to come out of the stable of AHA.

He disclosed that at least five films including Nonetheless, Fawa House, and Eko Palava are at various production stages and will soon be released.

Also in his goodwill message at the premiere, Mr. Tunji Olugbodi, the Executive Vice Chairman, Verdant Zeal Group noted that in its bid to add value to the Nigeria’s film industry, the company had as theme: “African Content and New Consciousness” for the 10th edition of its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, “Innovention Series” held earlier on Thursday October 20.

Olugbodi stated that Arc Hub Africa is about spreading African optimism and thus enjoined the industry stakeholders to partner with the company to open a new vista of creative possibilities on the continent.
