Why I’m Contesting: A Call To Serve

Posted on February 1, 2025

As I stand before you today, I am filled with a sense of purpose and conviction. I am contesting for the House of Representatives seat in Ibadan North Federal Constituency because I believe in the power of effective representation to transform lives and communities.

Throughout my career, I have been driven by a passion for public service and a commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of others. As a dedicated professional, I have worked tirelessly to promote the well-being of our citizens, particularly in the areas of education, healthcare, and economic empowerment.

Ibadan North Federal Constituency faces numerous challenges that require urgent attention and effective solutions. From inadequate infrastructure and poor healthcare services to limited economic opportunities and social inequality, our constituency deserves better. As your representative, I am committed to working tirelessly to address these challenges and ensure that our constituency  receives the resources and support it needs to thrive.

My vision for Ibadan North Federal Constituency is one of prosperity, equality, and justice for all. I envision a constituency where every citizen has access to quality education, healthcare, and economic opportunities. I envision a constituency where our youth are empowered to reach their full potential, where our women are valued and respected, and where our elderly are cared for and supported.

Some quarters advised me that the Olamide Junaid Foundation, which I founded and have been running, is enough to take care of the needs of my people. However, my conviction is that if given the opportunity to secure the ticket and serve in the House of Representatives, I can make a more profound impact on the lives of our citizens. With a seat in the National Assembly, I will be able to influence policy decisions, attract more resources and investments to our constituency, and provide a stronger voice for our people.

As your representative, I promise to be accountable and transparent in my actions and decisions. I will listen to your concerns, respond to your needs, and work tirelessly to ensure that your voice is heard in the corridors of power.

I therefore ask for your support and trust in this election, and I promise to work tirelessly to make our constituency a better place for all.

Thank you.
