Why Tansian University Appointed Victor Umeh As Chancellor

The Board of Trustees and Management of Tansian University Umunya in Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State have outlined very cogent reasons Sen. Dr. Victor Umeh was appointed the new Chancellor of the university.
The Vice Chancellor of the university Prof. Eugene Okoye Nwadialor, Reverend Father Innocent Uke and others who spoke very strongly on the choice of Chief Victor Umeh as the new Chancellor of Tansian University, unanimously maintained that Umeh has impeccable character, antecedents and pedigree which provided very credible credentials for his appointment.
The Vice Chancellor who spoke very highly of Sen. Umeh during the presentation of Appointment Letter to him at Aguluzigbo, said Umeh has been part of the university and that he was one of the first Honorary Degree Awardees of Tansian University.
The VC said Tansian University is a faith-based university founded by the late Professor Johnbosco Akam and that since the demise of Johnbosco Akam, His Eminence Most Reverend Cardinal Peter Okpalaeke has been in the forefront protecting the university and making sure that it continued to bear fruits.
Prof. Nwadialor further disclosed that Cardinal Okpalaeke has been the Chairman of Board of Trustees of Tansian University, Visitor and Chancellor of the university; making sure that the university survived.
He however stated that the Board recently thought it wise that under the separation of functions that the post of Chancellor of Tansian University should be given to a worthy son of the soil.
He said it is in that regard that the Board did a thorough search and found no other person worthy than Chief Victor Umeh (Ohamadike).
