Chairman Governing Board of G-57, Tom Iseghohi

It was great and explosive sessions at Wheatbaker Hotel Ikoyi, Lagos from Wednesday 6th – 7th December, 2017 as members of G-57 gathered from different parts of the world to ‘Design The Nigeria We Deserve’.

G-57 is a non-partisan and non-political organisation, which represents Nigeria’s 57 years of independence and this was significant in her launch on the 1st of October, 2017.

The group was founded by 57 Nigerian executives who represents each wasted year of resources. G-57 consists of professionals and entrepreneurs who have shown immense success in their various fields, and who came together on the premise of making positive impact in Nigeria.

According to the Chairman Governing Board of G-57, Tom Iseghohi, the question on their minds is, what has Nigeria achieved in her 57 years of independence? Hence their strive for a change in Nigeria and designing the change we deserve.

He told P.M.EXPRESS that the 2-day strategy session was geared towards putting down principles and strategies in their resolve to promote Peace Unity and Prosperity (PUP). He posited that the group was not writing down things to send to people in authority like other socioeconomic groups had done in the past, rather they were putting down things to do themselves.

Tom Iseghohi said that the group’s goal is to grow the Nigeria economy by creating millions of jobs and vocations. He said that G-57 targets to raise Nigeria’s GDP to $4 Trillion in eight years. The group ultimately aims to affect politics in Nigeria through economic turnaround.

He further explained that their members were from all the geographical areas of the country, diversified culture and religious beliefs. And that their power is in being neutral.

Another member of the group who spoke to P.M.EXPRESS, Mr. Solomon Ikhioda, said that Nigerians were known for talking but G-57 has not emerged to join the talking train but the doing train. He said that the principles and strategies they painstakingly put together during the 2-day strategy session were meant to change the national narrative and put Nigeria on the path of steady economic, social and political growth. Mr. Ikhioda assured that in the days ahead the group will roll out articulated plans towards achieving the creation of jobs and growing the Nigeria economy.
