Willful Donations And A Troubled Opposition…
Posted on October 13, 2025

I read my friend Mayor Chibunna yesterday when he wrote that the many willful donations from communities, groups and individuals to Governor Soludo’s second term campaign is a hoax, and I couldn’t help but try to see things from his perspective.
Currently, his Principal, Madam Uche Ekwunife, is faced with double-jeopardy. While she is chasing after stakeholders for money, these same stakeholders including the ones from both her Father’s (Igboukwu) and husband’s (Nri) side are chasing after APGA to contribute their quota to the continuation of what they refer to as the “Solution Revolution”. You see why Mayor thinks such massive freewill donations to Soludo’s second term campaign is a hoax?
Again, this is the first time in known political history that a Governor is going for a second term campaign sponsored by the people. Neither Ekwunife nor her now stranded supporters can fathom this. What they are prancing about “cap in hand” begging for is massively dropping in the hands of Soludo unsolicited.
With the November 8 election now few days away, both Ukachukwu and Ekwunife and indeed other candidates have come to realise that they have become “ndi ejiri mezue onu ogugu” (passive observers) in a consequential election where they would be losing more than just votes.
ADDENDUM:
Meanwhile, I like that Madam Ekwunife now wears unbranded hats to campaigns. At least this will save her from further physical embarrassments from Ukachukwu’s handlers. I hope Mr KK Ezekwelu will not bounce her convoy again from entering Radisson Onyx Hotel, like they did the last time after they read my article exposing Ekwunife’s detachment from what she calls “Ukachukwu’s cross”.
