You Can’t Go Anywhere! – Jilted Lady Threatens To Deal With Estranged Lover

A 31-year old lady, Chidinma Daniel, has been arrested in Lagos State for allegedly threatening her estranged lover, Slyvia Udeaku and insisting that he must continue with their relationship or she will deal with him for opting out.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the threat instilled fear into the complainant, Slyvia Udeaku. He then went to the Police and reported that Chidinma was causing public nuisance and threatening his life.
The suspect, Chidinma Daniel, was arrested and charged for conduct likely to cause breach of public peace, threat to life and causing nuisance in the public.
The incident happened at Ebenezer Street, Jakande, Ejigbo area of Lagos State, where the complainant resides and the lady came to harass him.
According to the Police, the lady and the complainant had a disagreement in the course of their relationship over an undisclosed matter, which made him to opt out.
However, the lady insisted that he must continue what he had started because she had already deeply committed herself into the relationship and he can’t just dump her like that.
The matter was reported to the Police at Ejigbo Division. She was arrested and detained at the station. Even at that, she insisted that the complainant must continue with the relationship.
The Police found her culpable and charged her before the Ejigbo Magistrate Court for the alleged conduct.
The charges read :
That you Chidimma Daniel ‘f’ on the 31th day of May, 2024, at about 1440hrs, at Ebenezer Street, Jakande, Ejigbo, Lagos State, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did conduct yourself in a manner likely to cause breach of peace by causing nuisance in a public place and thereby committed an offence punishable under section 168 (d) of the Criminal law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.
Count II: That you Chidimma Daniel ‘f’, on the same date, time and place, in the aforementioned Magisterial District, did threatened to deal with one Slyvia Udeaku ‘m’ on phone call conversation and thereby committed an offence punishable under section 56 of the criminal law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.
However, she pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Inspector Simeon Njue, asked the Court to give a date for hearing since she pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that she actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. T.A. Popoola, granted her bail in the sum of N50,000 with one surety in like sum, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.
The matter was adjourned till 12th May, 2025, for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when she will perfect her bail conditions.
