In an unprecedented gathering of grace, power, and purpose, Nigeria’s illustrious First Lady, Her Excellency Chief Oluremi Tinubu, alongside 17 other First Ladies and Her Regal Majesty Amb. Dr. Olori Temitope Enitan-Ogunwusi, captivated the world at the 3rd High-Level Regional Seminar on Promoting Cancer Awareness and Advocacy Programmes.

Held at the opulent Transcorp Hilton in Abuja, this seminal event heralded a new dawn in the fight against cancer across Sub-Saharan Africa.

Under the visionary patronage of the First Lady of Nigeria, Her Excellency Chief Oluremi Tinubu, the seminar convened 17 First Ladies from OIC Sub-Saharan African Member States, uniting these formidable leaders in a grand coalition against cancer.

Themed “Innovative Approaches to Cancer Prevention and Early Detection,” the event showcased cutting-edge strategies and fostered a spirit of unprecedented collaboration.

Her Majesty Olori Temitope Enitan-Ogunwusi, the Southwest Malaria Advocate and a beacon of health advocacy, in her comment, gave a stirring tribute to Senator Tinubu’s remarkable leadership.

“Her Excellency Chief Oluremi Tinubu is a luminary whose unparalleled dedication to public health has sparked this transformative gathering. Her exceptional vision and relentless drive are the catalysts for a brighter, healthier Africa,” declared Her Majesty.

“Her Excellency’s leadership is not just a beacon of hope but a call to action,” Olori Temitope Enitan-Ogunwusi said.

The seminar, a confluence of minds and hearts, featured riveting discussions led by global health luminaries and international partners, including the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). These sessions underscored the critical importance of innovative approaches and early detection in combating the cancer scourge.

Her Excellency Chief Oluremi Tinubu’s opening address resonated with power and urgency.

“Today, we stand united, not only as leaders but as champions of a cause that transcends borders. Our collective will and unwavering commitment are the bedrock upon which we will build a future free from the shadows of cancer,” proclaimed the First Lady.

Her words galvanized the assembly, setting an inspirational tone for the seminar’s proceedings.

The event was further graced by the presence of the wives of Nigeria’s governors, the Vice President’s wife, and the Senate President’s wife, who collectively underscored the national commitment to this critical cause. Distinguished officials from the Ministry of Health also attended, adding their expertise and support to the initiative.

The seminar was a spectacular display of unity and determination, culminating in a shared pledge to implement actionable strategies and champion policies that prioritize health and wellness.

Daju, in partnership with esteemed local and international collaborators JNCI, Stepcho Nig. Ltd, and Tanit Medical Engineering, extends profound gratitude to all participants.

The presence and engagement of the First Ladies, state dignitaries, and health officials were instrumental in ensuring the seminar’s resounding success.
