Youth Party Clarifies Stance, Rejects Impersonators at National Forum

Posted on January 27, 2025

The Youth Party has issued a strong statement dissociating itself from a group of individuals who have been fraudulently impersonating and misrepresenting the party at the Forum of the National Youth Leaders of All Political Parties in Nigeria (FNLYLPPN).

In a press release, issue by the Ag. National Publicity Secretary, Youth Party, Ayo Adio Ayodele, the party clarified that it is not affiliated with the forum and has no intention of associating with it in any capacity.

The statement revealed that certain individuals have been falsely claiming ties to the Youth Party, leading to confusion and spreading misinformation regarding their alleged influence over the party’s political activities.

These individuals are also accused of collecting money on behalf of the party, a practice the Youth Party strongly condemns.

The party emphasized that any financial transactions made in the name of the Youth Party are unauthorized and carry significant risk for those involved.

“Anyone giving any financial inducement to anyone on behalf of our party does so at his or her own risk,” the statement warned.

Reaffirming its commitment to transparency, fairness, and accountability, the Youth Party announced that it is taking immediate action to investigate the fraudulent activities.

The party has vowed to involve law enforcement if necessary to hold the perpetrators accountable.

The statement reassured party members and the public that the Youth Party remains dedicated to its core values of integrity, public service, and the promotion of democratic ideals.

The party reiterated that any individuals or groups misleading the public for personal or political gain do not represent the Youth Party or its founding principles.
