The Police in Lagos have arrested two acclaimed Islamic clerics a.k.a Alfa for allegedly engaging and gang-raping a 16-year old girl under the false pretence of taking her through spiritual deliverance.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the suspects, Abduganiyu Shittu, 30 and Muritadoh Idowu, 27, accosted the victim at Iyana School Bus Stop in Iba area of Lagos and instilled fear into the victim with false prophecy.
The clerics were said to have told the victim of a calamity that will befall her, which would lead to her untimely death if she did not find solutions by embarking on prayers and deliverance.
The victim was said to have been terrified by what they told her and asked what she will do to avert the danger not knowing that they were fake. She fell into their trap; the clerics took her to an undisclosed place and engaged her in marathon sex in the guise of prayers and deliverance. After sexually penetrating her, they allowed her to go.
The victim, having realized what had happened to her, went home and told her parents about what happened to her and the matter was reported to the Police. The Police then trailed the suspects and arrested them.

P.M.EXPRESS scooped that the clerics admitted that they prayed for her but did not state if the marathon sex was part of the prayers and the deliverance.
The Police found them culpable not only because the victim was still a minor, she was abducted and lured into the dastardly act without her consent.
The suspects were thereafter brought before the Ejigbo Magistrates Court to be arraigned for abduction and defilement.
However, the Court directed the Police to take the suspects to the Family Court in Ogba Magistrates Court, where they will be properly arraigned for the alleged offence.
