Fesco Agalu, SIFAX Group Sign MOU To Organise Int’l Agric Technology Exhibition In Osun

The plan to organise the first-ever international agricultural exhibition and conference in Africa in the capital city of the State of Osun, Osogbo, is gradually coming to reality. 
SIFAX Group of Companies, a conglomerate of Companies,  which is into the business of Maritime, Aviation, Haulage, Logistics and Freight Forwarding (Sea & Air) in Nigeria,  has decided to bankroll the organisation of Agritech Nigeria Osun 2018 with the organiser, Fesco Agalu Nigeria Enterprises Limited.
Agrictech Nigeria Osun 2018 will be  the first Nigeria’s largest Exhibition and Conference on agriculture, farm machineries, dairy, poultry, water technology, livestock equipment, agriculture processing technologies and environmental control.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between Fesco Agalu and SIFAX Group on Friday in the office of Honourable Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security inside Government Secretariat, Abere, Osogbo. The signing was witnessed by the Commissioner himself, Honourable Olakunle Ige, the Coordinating Director of the Ministry, Dr Olubukola Aluko, Special Adviser to the Governor on Agriculture, Hon Remi Kolapo and other top Directors of the Ministry.
The General Manager, Legal Services, Barrister Tunji Olusinde and the Corporate Affairs Manager, Mr Muyiwa Akande represented SIFAX Group at the signing ceremony.  Mr Yahaya Majeed, Executive Director led the team of Fesco Agalu.
The Commissioner for Agriculture, Hon. Ige said the state government was delighted that the Agritech Nigeria Osun 2018 International Exhibition and Conference is gradually taking shape with the signing of the MOU, adding that the State of Osun will leave nothing to chance to ensure that enabling environment is provided for a successful event.
Mr. Olusinde of SIFAX Group said the sponsorship of the event was made possible by the company’s policy to encourage project on agriculture as the country is diversifying from oil to agriculture. He aded that what the Government of Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola has been doing in agriculture since inception is also commendable.
“We are in this to make Agritech Nigeria Osun 2018 a successful and world class event, ” he said.
Mr. Yahaya commended SIFAX Group for the sponsorship. He said Fesco Agalu looked at the profiles of the Group and discovered that they have the veritable platform to make Agritech Nigeria Osun 2018 event a success.
He also praised the Governor for doing a lot to make life better for the people of the state, while also commending the support the organiser has been receiving from the Ministry of Agriculture.

He revealed that a delegation comprises of Fesco Agalu, the organiser, SIFAX Group, the sponsor and top officials from the State of Osun, the host, will visit Israel before mid December to flag off international engagement for the programme with their Israeli partner, Kenes Exhibition, organiser of Agritech Israel since the last 20 years, AGWATEC Israel and Agritech India.
“We are extremely proud to bring this to State of Osun. As we all know, Israel is a pioneer in agricultural technology. Kenes Exhibition is bringing their years of experience in the organisation of agricultural exhibition and conference. We are expecting close to 1000 foreign exhibitors and local and international visitors of more than 400,000 in Osogbo for this event.
“This is a melting point where countries, individuals meet to discuss business opportunities in agriculture. It is an event where Africans meet their European counterparts without necessary travel to Europe. It is a platform for investors meeting to discuss businesses of mutual business. It will also promote Osun cultural tourism as delegation from abroad would have the opportunity of seeing the beauty of Osun tourism during the event.
Businesses in Osogbo will definitely have a feel of Agritech Nigeria Osun 2018 because there is no sector of the society that the programme won’t affect, ” he said.
