Ms Shirley-Ann Chinonye A, a renowned natural food chef and health coach, will be debuting as a columnist for Nigeria’s fastest growing tabloid, P.M.EXPRESS.

The United States-trained dietary specialist, whose passion for healthy lifestyle was propelled by the death of her beloved mother in 2013 through a disorder known as the Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, SLE, commences a weekly column starting Friday March 22, 2019.

According to Chinonye, she intends to use her weekly column to assist many from the falling into the painful experience of her mother who for many years suffered “an auto immune disorder and never knew what it was, though the correct diagnosis was given late almost at the end of her life.”

“She was fed the wrong food information which worsened her condition causing more inflammations and attacks on the immune system.”

Chinonye obtained her wide knowledge on nutrition, health and wellness, health coaching skills and business development from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, New York, United States.

At the Institute, she learned innovative coaching methods, practical lifestyle management techniques, and over 100 dietary theories – Ayurveda, gluten-free, Paleo, raw, vegan, macrobiotics, and everything in between.

She also studied with the world’s top health and wellness experts including: Joshua Rosenthal, founder and director of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition; Dr. Deepak Chopra, leader in the field of mind-body medicine; Dr. David Katz, director of Yale University’s Prevention Research Center and Dr. Walter Willett, MD, DrPH, chair of nutrition at Harvard University. Others are Dr. Andrew Weil, director of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine; Gabrielle Bernstein, bestselling author and life coach; Susan Blum, MD, MPH, assistant clinical professor at Mount Sinai School of Medicine; Dr. Mark Hyman, founder of The UltraWellness Center; Geneen Roth, bestselling author and expert on emotional eating; David Wolfe, raw food leader and nutrition expert; Dr. Marion Nestle, Professor at New York University’s Department of Nutrition, Food Studies, and Public Health; Mark Bittman, food writer for The New York Times and bestselling author; and Dr. Joel Fuhrman, MD, family physician and leading expert on nutritional healing.

Her education has equipped her with extensive, cutting-edge knowledge in holistic nutrition, health coaching, and prevention.

Drawing on her expertise, Chinonye has worked with many clients to help them make lifestyle changes and choose health-promoting ways that produce real and lasting results by co-creating personalized actions based on individual’s goal.

She offers 1-6 months health and nutrition coaching to individuals, group and families, teaching healthy cooking class, organising healthy food store tour and leading workshops on wellness and nutrition.

“You will develop a deeper understanding of food and lifestyle choices that work best for you, improving your energy, balance, health, and happiness,” she said.
The fabulous healthy coach added; “Each session is designed to leave you feeling inspired and motivated. We will talk about things beyond food, seeking to bring balance to important elements of your life such as love and relationships as well as career and money. I will personally and carefully guide you to make simple, small changes that transform your life.”
