Man Arraigned After Alleged Duping Two Lovers Planning Overseas Wedding

A 42-year old man, Ify Anthony has landed in trouble after he frustrated moves by two lovers to travel abroad to consummate their marriage.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the lovers in question, Felix Akpowowo and his lover, Kelechi Ahuchama were among those Anthony allegedly defrauded million of naira under false pretence of procuring for them traveling documents for greener pasture abroad.
The incident happened at a popular hotel in Egan in the outskirt of Lagos, where the victims met Anthony.
The Delta State-born Anthony who had similar fraud allegation matter before the same court of obtaining money from some victims under the false pretense and ended up defrauding them before he escaped.
However, he was later arrested and arraigned before the same Ejigbo Magistrates court were he was granted bail.
When he was taken to Igando police station, he admitted that he obtained the money from the victims and had spent the money but promised to pay back.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that after Anthony obtained the money from the victims, he went and lodged in a hotel where he lavished the money before he was eventually arrested and taken to court.
He pleaded not guilty.
The presiding Magistrate, Mr Akeem Fashola granted Anthony bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum.
He was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail conditions.
The matter was adjourned till 3 July 2017.
