A 30-year old man, Sunday Ngene has been arrested and charged before a Lagos court for allegedly attacking his business rival, Edoagu James by defecating inside his office.
The incident happened at 92 Ipaja Road in Agege, Lagos where the victim, James rented an office where he sells Tricycles.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the motive behind Ngene’s action was not clear, but their neighbours said it was a ploy to close down James’s striving business.
The suspect was said to have opened his own office at number 97 of the same road where he was initially selling the same products before he had financial challenges.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspects and the victim were from the same area in Enugu State before they came to Lagos and joined the business.
However, it was learnt that the defendant suffered a setback in his business whereas the victim has been doing well far ahead of the defendant.
On the day the incident happened, it was gathered that James had disagreement with Ngene over the issue of lending him another money after he had earlier given him money for his business.
The request was turned down by James who asked him to first refund the one he gave him before.
This worsened their relationship and he reportedly moved from his office to James’s office with cutlass to attack him.
While James took to his heels, he then defecated inside the office and sprayed the bowel on the goods James parked inside the hall office.
The matter was reported to the police and Ngene was arrested and charged before Ogba Magistrates court.
He pleaded not guilty.
The presiding Magistrate, Mr T.O Shomade granted him bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.
Ngene, P.M.EXPRESS reports, was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 5 July 2017.
