OMOH, DAVIDSON EMERGE 2016 AQUAFINA ELITE MODEL LOOK NIGERIA WINNERS

Omoh Momoh and Davidson Obennebo have emerged female and male winners of the ninth Aquafina Elite Model Look Nigeria 2016 held Saturday night at the Oriental Hotel, Lekki, Lagos.

Omoh and Davidson emerged the tops from the final 10 contestants (five females and five males), out of the 20 finalists who made it to the final of the keenly-contested international modelling competition.

Both will now go on to represent Nigeria at the Elite Model Look in Paris.

Aside that, they were also winners of N1 million cash prize each.

Nollywood movie star Richard Mofe Damijo and Bola Balogun were part of the panel of judges who carefully sat through to pick the new winners.

The event featured catwalk competition showcasing pieces from Orange Culture, Ejiro Amos Tafiri, Tokyo James with Fashpa making a debut on the runway amongst other exciting bits at the finale.

Victor Ndiwgwe, EMLN 2014 Male winner,  gave an impressive performance to the surprise of guests.

Afro-pop diva, Omawumi also thrilled the audience during the night.

The annual event is a gateway to the glamorous world of international modelling and fashion for the winners in both male and female categories, as they will represent Nigeria alongside 80 other countries and stand a chance of winning $150,000 at Elite Model Look International world finals.

In addition there is a chance to win a modelling contract with elite model management worldwide and two years modelling contract with Beth Model Management Africa.

Some previous winners from Nigeria such as Mayowa Nicholas and Victor Ndigwe have made their mark on the global fashion scene, with Victor and Mayowa modelling for top fashion labels and agencies.

Other international models such as Cindy Crawford (USA), Tatjana Patitz (Germany), Stephanie Seymour (USA) and more are all products of the Elite Model Look.

Commenting on the Aquafina Elite Model Look Nigeria 2016 final event, Mr. Norden Thurston, Head of Marketing, Seven-Up Bottling Company Plc, (SBC) makers of Aquafina said: “We cherish our partnership with Elite Model Agency Nigeria in providing the platform for young Nigerians to aspire to the peak of global modeling and fashion through the Aquafina Elite Model Look Nigeria contest.”

Speaking further, he stated that Aquafina  is purity guaranteed that encourages a healthy lifestyle which is critical for a positive self-image and reflective in all the attributes that is needed to make it on the global modeling stage, hence the synergy between Aquafina and the Elite Model.
