A 56-year old Pastor Sunday Obiaeli has landed in trouble after he was reportedly moved by a strange spirit to take possession of another man’s land in Lagos.

The incident happened at Silva Estate in Ago-Okota where the land was located.

P.M.EXPRESS scooped that Obiaeli – the so called man of God had occupied the land belonging to one Okpala Emmanuel who lived at Marina Street in Lagos Island. It was learnt that because of the distance, the owner rarely came to the place. And within the period of Emmanuel’s absence, Obiaeli went to the land and claimed that he was directed by unknown (not Holy) spirit to take possession of the land.

He reportedly took possession, destroyed the short fence erected by the owner and forged a survey plan with number, AD/1227/O241 in his name as the owner of the land.

However, when the owner went there and confronted Pastor Obiaeli, he told the owner that the land belonged to him as directed by the spirit that asked him to that possession of the land.

The matter was reported to the police and Obiaeli was arrested. At the police station, he still claimed that the land belonged to him and presented the survey plan he had forged.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the police went into investigation and discovered that the survey plan was forged and it was Emmanuel that was the real owner of the land.

Obiaeli was charged before Ogba Magistrates court for illegal occupation, forgery and malicious damage.

He pleaded not guilty.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. A.O.Ogbe granted Obiaeli bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum.
He was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 28 February, 2018.
