Robber Kills Uber Driver, Buries Him At Uncompleted Building

Police operatives from the Force Criminal Investigative Department, FCID, Alagbon annex, Lagos, have arrested a vicious armed robber, one Ikechukwu Ozunba, who allegedly murdered an Uber driver and buried him in an uncompleted building in Lagos.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Okokomaiko area of Lagos, where he was said to have strangled the victim, buried him secretly and escaped with the vehicle.
He reportedly committed the dastardly act and left the shores of Lagos to enjoy his loot. However, he was traced and eventually arrested.
This was disclosed by the Police Force Public Relations Officer, DSP Cordelia Nwawe. She said that the incident happened on the 27th December, 2018, when they received a report of a missing Uber operator. After receiving the report, Superintendent of Police, SP Festus Niyi, from the FCID and his team members were assigned to unravel the source of the disappeared victim.
According to the report, intelligence flickered in about a cap driver who was missing in a very suspicious and fearful circumstance. Digging into the report and following a pain taking lead, a heinous crime of armed robbery and murder was unraveled.
Police detectives tracked the vehicle to Oguta in Imo State and one Ikechukwu Ozunba, referred to as a murderous gangster, was arrested alongside the deceased’s Toyota Camry car with registration number SMK 980 FM.
In his confessional statement, Ikechukwu said he boarded the Uber car around the Trade Fair Complex and headed towards Okokomaiko area of Lagos. He confessed to have strangled the driver to death. Having killed him, the suspect said that he took the remains of the deceased and buried him in an uncompleted building at Okokomaiko in Lagos.
The decomposed corpse was evacuated and buried by Health Officials.
It was later discovered that the Toyota Camry car that was snatched from Uber driver, Olotu, belonged to one Susanne Congui, living in Ojodu Lagos.
Having found the suspect culpable, the Police at FCID have charged him before the Igbosere High Court where he is now facing trial.
