A 45-year old woman, Mrs. Hadijat Kabir, has confessed that she actually planned her abduction with her native doctor in Lagos because her husband, Alhaji Kabir Muraino, was not giving her enough money as she had wanted to take care of herself.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that Mrs. Kabir got married to her husband many years ago and had children. However, she was not satisfied with money he used to give her and she then hatched a plan to defraud him of N15m.
The plan failed after the operatives of the Anti-kidnapping Squad tracked her and the gang members; she was arrested in the act with two other suspects, Mr. Ahmed Kudos, 29 and a woman, Hadijat Rufai, 39.

Mrs. Kabir also mentioned her native doctor, Wasiu Rufai, aka Ojulyawodon, whose duty was to provide spiritual back up for the plot,  Lukmon Ahmed and one Jossy who were now at large.
She was arrested and paraded by the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Imohimi Edgal, at the State Police Command, Lagos.
The police boss said that on 2nd August, 2018, her husband, Alhaji Muraino, 55, who resided at Governor’s Road in Ikotun area of Lagos, reported to the police at Ikotun Division, that his wife and her daughter, Hamidat, 18 were kidnapped. The husband said that the wife was taking the daughter to the psychiatric hospital at Oshodi, Lagos, when the incident happened. The kidnappers demanded N15m ransom before they will release them.

CP Edgal said that based on the report, he directed the Anti-kidnapping Squad to move in and ensure speedy rescue of the hostages and arrest the suspects.
He said that during investigation, it was revealed that the kidnappers were making their demands from Ado-Odo in Ota area of Ogun State where the operatives mobilised, busted the camp and dislodged the suspects. He said that already two suspects, Ahmed Kudos, 29 and a woman, Hadijat Rufai have been arrested while others were on the run.

CP Edgal said that when Mrs. Hadijat Kabir was being debriefed, she confessed that she planned her kidnap with both suspects arrested and others at large to defraud her husband.
He said the matter was still under investigation and the police were still making efforts to arrest other suspects at large and they will be charged to court after the conclusion of investigations.
