Woman Pours Hot Water On House Maid Over N80 Eggs

It was a shocking experience for residents in Lagos after a housewife poured hot water on her 16-year old house maid over eggs.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Olowowewe Street in Mushin area of Lagos where the woman resided with the victim.
Her action has landed her in trouble as the police at Olosun Division arrested and detained her for her cruelty on the victim.
The woman was said to have brought the victim to assist her in domestic works but not long after she brought her, she started maltreating her as she was not her biological child. The maltreatment continued until the day the latest incident happened. It was gathered that she sent the girl to buy six eggs for her but the victim came back with four eggs. The woman became angry and carried the pot she had used to boil water and emptied it on the victim’s face and body. The victim was seriously injured and was rushed to an undisclosed hospital where she was being treated.
However, their neighbours who knew what happened reported the incident to the juvenile section of the Olosun Police Division.
The issue instantly became the topic of discussion among the residents in the Mushin area of Lagos as many expressed shock and wondered if she would have done so to her biological child.
P.M.EXPRESS scooped that the madam whose identity was yet to be disclosed by the police admitted that she poured hot water on the victim but said that it was out of anger and pleaded for forgiveness.
The Division Police Officer, DPO Olosun Division was not available for comments when our correspondent visited the police station. However, a police source said that it was a clear case of child abuse and wickedness and that the police will not allow the matter to be swept under the carpet.
The police source said the woman will definitely be charged to court to serve as deterrent to others who might try such.
P.M.EXPRESS confirmed that the cost of the two eggs that caused the dastardly act was about N80 but the victim was undergoing treatment that may cost thousands of Naira over uncontrolled anger by the suspect.
