17 Primary Schools Battle For Dullar Kids Cup In Lagos

No fewer than 17 primary schools in Somolu local government are expected to take part in the second edition of Dullar Kid’s Cup which kicks off on 28 October at the two centres namely: U.N.A Primary School and Agunbiade Primary School, Somolu.


Among the schools competing for honours are St Augustine Primary School, Baptist Primary School, U.N.A Primary School, Odunlade Primary School, Agunbiade Primary School,, Ijebutedo Primary School, Adebule Primary School, Okemeta Primary School, St Peter and Paul Primary School and Bashua Primary School.

Others are Igbobi Primary School, Wright Memorial Primary School, Ola Olu Primary School, Wesley Primary School, St Paul Primary School and Modupe Primary School.

The football competition which is being sponsored by the Chairman of Somolu Local Government, Honourable Abdulhamed Salawu Dullar is organized by Amawell Sports.

Chairman Organizing Committee, Wellington Amadasun told our correspondent in Lagos that the football tournament is packaged to develop round leather game among the primary school pupils in Somolu and its environs saying that all the participating schools have commenced early preparation ahead of a week soccer tournament.

“Dullar Kids Cup is the talk of the town in Somolu because we have created public awareness about the competition. Presently most of the schools that would take part in the competition have started preparation and I am happy that the objective of the competition is achieved. We want to thank Somolu council boss for his support given the competition and we are trying our best to make sure that this year’s edition records a huge success,” he said.

Amadasun revealed that cash rewards, Jersey, medals as well as certificates will be given to the finalists noted that all the participating schools would be given consolatory prizes.
