2 Ladies Arraigned For Stealing N8.8m Worth Of Clothes At Euro Fashion Company

Two ladies, Rashidat Fehintola, 29 and Damilola Adenuga, have been arrested and charged in Lagos State for allegedly stealing female clothes worth N8.8m at Euro Fashion Company before their arrest.

 

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Euro Fashion Company located at Billings Way, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos, where the suspects work as staff of the company.

 

The suspects were alleged to have been stealing items over a period of time of time and the company was going down until the management decided to conduct an internal audit before they discovered that those items were missing.

 

They were summoned to explain what happened to the money but they were unable to give satisfactory answers and were then handed over to the Police at Alausa Division for interrogation over their alleged conduct.

 

After the interrogation, the Police found them culpable and consequently charged them before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence, which attracts several years of imprisonment.

 

They pleaded not guilty.

 

The prosecutor, Supol Benson Emerhi, asked the Court to give a date for hearing since they pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that they actually committed the alleged offence.

 

The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. L.A. Owolabi, granted them bail in the sum of N300,000 each with two sureties in like sum, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses verified by the Court.

 

The matter was adjourned till 3rd June, 2024, for mention while the defendants was remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when they will perfect their bail conditions.
