Police operatives from the Lagos State Command have arrested two ladies, Bolajoko Francis, 27 and Mariam Austin, for allegedly engaging in public fight in a hotel over lover.

P.M.EXPRESS reports the incident happened at Elis Suite Hotel at Oremeta Street, Ojodu -Berger, Lagos State, where they met and engaged in public fight.

The man, who was said to be the cause of the fight, escaped when the Police arrested the ladies and he is now at large.

According to Police sources, the man in question brought one of them to the hotel before the second lady got the information and also came there where fighting ensured and the management handed them over to the Police for prosecution.

They were subsequently charged before the Ogba Magistrates Court for conduct likely to cause breach of public peace by engaging in public fight.

They pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Inspector Emmanuel Ajayi, had no objections on their bail but asked the Court to give short adjournment to enable the Police to prove they committed the alleged offence.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. A.S. Odusanya, granted them bail with one surety and they were remanded in custody pending when they will perfect their bail conditions.

The matter was further adjourned due to the Judicial strike pending when the Court will start sitting properly for hearing.
