Two ladies, Faith Miracle Ezekiel, 25 and Jennifer Nnamuchim, have landed in trouble in Lagos State for allegedly stealing items at a super store worth N12m.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at the store located at Bamishile Street, off Allen Avenue, Ikeja area of Lagos.
The Police did not disclose if they were staff of the company or their mission at the place before they were caught stealing the items and handed over to the Police at Ikeja Division for interrogation over their alleged conduct.
They were charged for conspiring and stealing provisions, perfumes, human hairs, wrist watches and double set of Hesika necklaces all valued at N12.000.000.00 belonging to Gbenga Babayale, thereby committed offences contrary to Section 280 and punishable under Section 287 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State 2015.
The Police consequently charged them before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence, which attracts several years of imprisonment.
However, they pleaded not guilty when they were arraigned.
The prosecutor,  Supol Akeem Raji, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since they pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that they actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. B.O. Osunsanmi, granted them bail with two sureties, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.
The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendants were remanded in custody at Kirikiri correctional center pending when they will perfect their bail conditions.
