2 Ladies Docked For Posting Another Lady’s Nude Video On Social Media

Two ladies, Mmesuma Ofunna, 22 and Blessing Adimekwe, 25, have been arrested and charged in Lagos State for allegedly conspiring and sending nude pictures of another lady on social media after obtaining N70,000.

 

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened on 26th October, 2024 at lyana Round About, Okokomaiko, Ojo, Lagos.

 

According to the Police,  the ladies contacted the victim and informed her that they had her nude video and asked her to pay certain amount of money otherwise, they will upload it on the social media.

 

The victim negotiated and offered them N70,000, which they collected but yet went ahead to post the video on the social media as they had earlier threatened.

 

The matter was reported to the Police at Ojo Division. The operatives moved into action, eventually arrested and detained them at the station for their alleged conduct.

 

After interrogation, the Police found them culpable and consequently charged them before the Ojo Magistrate Court for the alleged offence which attracts several years of imprisonment.

 

The charges read:

“That you, Mmesuma Ofunna ‘F’, Blessing Adimekwe ‘F’ and others now at large, on the 26th day of October, 2024, at about 2300hrs at lyana Round About, Okokomaiko, Ojo, Lagos, in the Ojo Magisterial District, did conspire among yourselves to commit felony to wit OBT/ Stealing and Conduct Likely and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 411 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.”

 

COUNT 2:”That you, Mmesuma Ofunna ‘F’, Blessing Adimekwe ‘F’ and others now at large, on the same date, time and place, in the aforesaid Magisterial District, did obtain the sum of N70,000.00 (Seventy Thousand Naira) from the victim with the pretence that her nude video with you, will not be sent on Social Media, which you later did, a presentation you know to be false and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 314 (1) of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.”

 

COUNT 3: “That you, Mmesuma Ofunna ‘F’, Blessing Adimekwe ‘F’ and others now at large, on the same date, time and place, in the aforesaid Magisterial District, did steal the sum of N70,000.00 (Seventy Thousand Naira) property of one Ahamefula Faith ‘F and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 287 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.”

 

COUNT 4: “That you, Mmesuma Ofunna ‘F’, Blessing Adimekwe ‘F’ and others now at large, on the same date, time and place, in the aforementioned Magisterial District, did conduct yourselves in a manner likely to cause breach of peace by sending nude video of one Ahamefula Faith ‘F’ on Social Media and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 168(D) of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.”

 

However, they pleaded not guilty when they were arraigned.

 

The prosecutor, Supol Uche Simeon, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since they pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that they actually committed the alleged offence.

 

The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. L.K.J Layeni, granted them bail in the sum of N300,000 with two sureties in like sum, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.

 

The matter was adjourned till 8th January, 2025, for mention while the defendants were remanded in custody at the correctional center pending when they will perfect their bail conditions.
