2 Men Caught Having Sex With Babies

The police has arrested two men, Reuben Owoichi, 35 and Sunday Oyedele, 33 for the defilement of two and three years old babies in parts of  Lagos.

They were alleged to have forcefully penetrated the victims and in the process defiled and injured them.

However, they were caught by their neighbours and handed over to the police.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that Owoicho was allegedly caught having sex with the two-year old victim at Folarin Street Isheri Magodo. While Oyedele was also caught at Awolowo Road in Ikorodu for a similar offence.

They were charged separately before Ikeja Magistrates court for defilement.

They pleaded not guilty.

The presiding Magistrate, Mrs. B.O. Osunsanmi granted them bail in the sum of N500,000 each with two sureties in like sum.
The court also directed that their files should be sent to Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP) for advice.

They were ordered to be remanded in prison custody pending when they will perfect their bail condition while waiting for DPP advice.
The matter was adjourned till 22 and 26 February, 2018 respectively for the outcome of DPP advice.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that if the suspects should face trial and were convicted, they may be handed more than 10 years imprisonment for the alleged offence.
