The suspects were Ekoh Tochukwu, 27 and Ebenezer Chidibe, 29.
The suspects were said to be members of the proscribed Eiye Confraternity, who got broke financially, then planned with others now at large and abducted the victim.
However, after the victim was released, he reported to the Police, who moved into action,  trailed and arrested the suspects while their other accomplices were said to be at large and wanted by the Police.
It was during interrogation that the suspects were said to have  confessed and mentioned some of their members at large. It was also during the investigation that the Police discovered that they were members of the cult group, who had formed themselves into a kidnapping syndicate for ransom.
Having been found culpable, they were subsequently charged before the Ogba Magistrates Court for the alleged offence.
