2 Suspects Arraigned For Burgling Warehouse & Carting Away N72m Pharmaceutical Products

Two suspects, Saheed Umoru, 18 and Abdullahi Musa, 20, have been arrested and charged in Lagos State for allegedly burgling a warehouse and carting away pharmaceutical products worth N72m belonging to Ezeanjobi Onyekachukwu.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened on the 13th January, Y2026, at Idumota Market Lagos.
According to the Police, the suspects and others at large went to the warehouse when the market has closed and traders had gone home and burgled it and stole the items.
However, when the complainant discovered what happened the following day,  he reported the matter to the Police at the Lagos State Command. The Police operatives moved into action, eventually arrested and detained the suspects at the Command for interrogation.
After thorough interrogation, the Police found them culpable and charged them before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence which attracts several years of imprisonment.
The charges read:
“That you, Saheed Umoru ‘m’, Abdullahi Musa ‘m’ and others at large on the 13th of January, 2026, at Idumota Market Lagos, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did conspire together to commit felony to wit: stealing and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 411 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.”
COUNT II:”That you, Saheed Umoru ‘m’ and others at large on the same date, time and place in the aforementioned Magisterial District, did burgle a warehouse and carted away pharmaceutical products valued at Seventy Two Million Naira one Ezeaniobi (N72,000,000.00), property of Onyekachukwu ‘m’ and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 306 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.”
COUNT III: “That you, Abdullahi Musa ‘m’ and others at large on the same date, time and place in the aforementioned Magisterial District, did burgle a warehouse and carted away pharmaceutical products valued at Seventy Two Million Naira  (N72,000,000.00), property of Ezeanjobi Onyekachukwu ‘m’ and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 306 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.”
COUNT IV: “That you, Abdullahi Musa ‘m’ on the same date, me and place in the aforementioned Magisterial District, did steal pharmaceutical products valued at Seventy Two Million Naira (N72,000,000.00), property of one Ezeaniobi Onyekachukwu ‘m’ and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 287 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.”
COUNT V:”That you, Saheed Umoru ‘m’ on the same date, time and place in the aforementioned Magisterial District, did steal pharmaceutical products valued at Seventy Two Million Naira (N72,000,000.00), property of one Ezeaniobi Onyekachukwu ‘m’ and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 287 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.”
They pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Supol Philip Ademigbuji, asked the Court to give a date for hearing since they pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that they actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O. Kusanu, granted them bail with sureties, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.
The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendants were remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when they will perfect their bail conditions.
