2 Teenage Robbers Docked For Burgling Shop & Carting Away N8m Assorted Phones

Two teenage robbers, Adamu Ali,19 and Rabiu Sali, have been arrested and charged before the Court in Lagos State for allegedly burgling a shop and carting away assorted phones worth N8m at night before they escaped. 
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened on 12th April, 2024, at Ogunnusi Road, Ojodu area of Lagos, where the victim, Obinna Anyanwu’s  shop is located.
According to the Police,  the defendants and others now at large conspired and committed the alleged offence when the owner, Mr. Anyanwu, had locked the shop and gone home.
However,  the following day when Anyanwu got to the shop, he discovered that it was burgled and some of the expensive phones he kept in the shop were stolen.
The matter was reported to the Police. The operatives moved into action, arrested the defendants and detained them at the station for interrogation over the alleged offence.
After rounds of interrogation, the Police found them culpable and consequently charged them before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence.
They pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor,  Inspector Lucky Ihiehie, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since they pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that they actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O.A. Layinka, granted them bail in the sum of N2m with two sureties in like sum, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and addresses verified by the Court.
The matter was adjourned till 23th May, 2024, for mention while the defendants were remanded in custody custody at the correctional centre at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when they will perfect their bail conditions.
