Two workers of a popular eatery known as Kingstine-Jo Nigeria Limited located at Ire-Akari Estate, Isolo area of Lagos, have been arrested over missing three crates of eggs worth N4,500.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at the eatery’s branch located at Ire-Akari Estate, Isolo area of Lagos.

The two workers, Adewunmi Michael, 35 and Moses Ayewa, were arrested and detained for stealing the eggs, which they denied but offered to pay for it but the management refused preferring they go to prison.

According to Police sources, the management of the eatery took inventory of the eggs they bought and discovered that three crates were missing and they summoned the two workers to explain but they did not properly offer explanation.

The management then handed over them over to the Police for prosecution for conspiracy and stealing.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the Police tried to resolve the matter at their station but the management insisted the matter should be charged to Court and the Police accordingly charged the two workers before the Isolo Magistrates Court for the alleged offence.

However, reprieve came the way of the workers when the prosecutor, Adetutu Sanusi, told the Court what happened.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. Olabisi Kusani, applied the law of restorative justice and ordered the defendants to pay for the eggs and they were subsequently discharged by the Court and regained freedom.
