Ojodu LCDA Intensifies Sanitation Efforts, Evacuates Waste Along Ogunnusi Road

Posted on April 4, 2026
Ojodu LCDA has continued to ramp up its environmental sanitation campaign with the evacuation of refuse and waste along Ogunnusi Road, Aguda, as part of efforts to complement the ongoing initiatives of the Lagos State Government.
The clean-up exercise, carried out by the council’s environmental sanitation team, is aimed at ensuring a cleaner and healthier environment for residents and road users within the axis.
The intervention reflects the council’s commitment to supporting state-wide waste management strategies and maintaining environmental hygiene across communities.
Council officials noted that the exercise was necessitated by the accumulation of waste along the corridor, which posed environmental and public health concerns. The prompt evacuation has significantly improved the sanitation condition of the area, restoring order and cleanliness.
In line with this effort, residents of Ojodu LCDA have been urged to take ownership of their environment by adhering strictly to proper waste disposal practices and to actively participate in the upcoming Environmental Sanitation Day.
