2018: Board Charged Abia Warriors To Go For Glory

The Governing Board of Abia Warriors Football Club of Umuahia has challenged the players and officials of the team to go for glory in the Nigeria Professional Football League and other competitions this season in order to justify the huge investment in the club.
In a communiqué issued in Umuahia after their first meeting of 2018, the Board noted that all the necessary assistance needed by the team to excel has been provided including the recruitment of experienced players and coaches to beef of the team pointing out they will have no reason not to meet the expectations of Abians.
The communique which was signed by the Board and Club  Secretary, Oliver Ndife, welcomed the establishment of the club’s U13 and U15 academy teams expressing confidence that the academy boys will graduate to the main team in the nearest future.
While passing a vote of implicit confidence on the Chairman of the Club, Chief Inyama for the able way he has piloted the affairs of the team, the Board members further gave the green light to the Board Chairman  to further overhaul and
reorganise the team to his satisfaction as the kick off of the league season draws near.
