2022 Asisat Oshoala Football4girls Holds at Abati Barracks, Lagos

The 2022 edition of Asisat Oshoala Foundation organised Invitational Football4girls Tournament holds on the Christmas Day.
The event which will feature scores of girls across the federation will be held at the Abati Barracks in Ojuelegba, Surulere, southwest Nigeria.
According to the organisers, this year’s championship, which is all-girl tournament, will hold from 1pm – 5pm. It will also feature among other things, mentorship sessions, life skills and medical programmes.
Last year’s event was won by Oracle Queens, who were the winners in the academy’s category after they beat Victory Queens 4-2 penalties after a 1-1 draw in the regulation time.
In the school’s category, Isale Eko Grammar School and Dolphin High School traded tackles in the colourful finals. It ended in a 1-1 draw, but Isale Eko won the game with 5-4 penalties.
Prizes were given to outstanding players in the 2021 edition with the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award in the academy’s category giving to Oladipupo Shukura of Oracle Queen. The MVP award in the school’s category was given to Ouwole Azeezat of Isale Eko Grammar School. Azeezat, who scored a total of three goals in the competition, also won the highest goal scorer award of the competition.
