2023: Okorocha Stands Out Among Them, Igbos Must Not Lose This Opportunity – Comrade Yahaya

A chieftain of All Progressive Congress (APC) in South-West Nigeria, Comrade Yahaya Majeed has described the ambition of former Governor of Imo State, Senator Rochas Okorocha to rule Nigeria, as an ambition which all Nigerians, irrespective of tribes, should embrace.
Okorocha, who is representing Imo West Senatorial district at the 9th Nigerian Senate, recently declared his ambition to contest in the presidential election scheduled for February next year. While declaring his presidential ambition, Okorocha said he wanted to contest for the presidency in the 2023 general elections so he can bring Nigeria out of poverty and beat President Muhammadu Buhari’s record. According to him, Buhari has done well for Nigeria and Nigerians, he intends to “beat his record” if elected president.
Comrade Yahaya told P.M. EXPRESS that for those who know Okorocha with his heart of philanthropy, he meant what he said because he has been doing it for years for the Nigerian children.
Comrade Yahaya, who also doubles as South-West Chairman and National Vice Chairman of All Progressives Youth Alliance (APYA) said: “If to say Nigeria is a country where things are normal and rewards are giving to people that serve humanity, Rochas Okorocha is far better than those who are aspiring to rule Nigeria in 2023. When others took away our commonwealth, he gave life to Nigerian children who never thought they will know roads to schools. Today, they are bankers, military and police officers, scientists and others. I know of this when he has not even near politics in 1997.
“Okorocha has built millions of army of educated children in Nigeria and I think this should be the payback time for him. He has not hidden from us how he got his wealth. In 2015, I have the privilege to be with him in Owerri and for those who care to listen, he said ‘I was made by God and Chief Olowe from Ilesha in Osun State’. He added that he would continue to give back to society until his death. He has been doing this. I want other candidates from all the parties to tell Nigerians with verifiable data what they have done to lift up poor people particularly children and the sources of their wealth
“It is appalling to see that when Igbos are demanding that it is their turn to be president, what we see is that some politicians who share the same party with Okorocha are hell-bent to destroy the good name this man has built for himself across the country, unfortunately, the Ohanese is watching helplessly.

“The first thing that comes to my mind is very simple and I begin to ask myself the questions: whom do Igbos think they can present as president? Whom among them has acceptability in other tribes in Nigeria like Okorocha? The answer is no. We know Okorocha from Ibadan to Zamfara to Abuja to Borno to Port Harcourt and to Owerri that he has touched a lot of lives and even do more than what their governors would do for them in their states. Okorocha is a Pan Nigerian, he is not a religious fanatic. In fact, he relates to Muslims than his Christian faith. This is someone Nigeria needs to breath fresh air of freedom,” he said.
The Osun State-born politician and former state executive member of the defunct Action Congress (AC) and the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) and APC said that it is time to change the narration, it is time to say no to capitalist politicians, “let us take socialist politician and Okorocha is the answer and the man that can give hope and guaranteed future to Nigeria come 2023,” he said.
