2023: Vote For APC For More Development – Enang Urges Nigerians

Posted on January 2, 2023
The immediate past Senior Special Assistant to President on Niger Delta Affairs and foremost APC Governorship Aspirant in Akwa Ibom, Senator Ita Enang, has said that the fifteen years of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had offered Nigerians nothing compared to eight years of All Progressives Congress, (APC) in the country.
Consequently, Enang has urged Nigerians irrespective of political leaning to reject the PDP and vote for APC in the forthcoming general elections for more infrastructural development in the nation.
The Senator, who disclosed this during the inaugural meeting of the Parliamentarians Directorate of Presidential Campaign Council of APC on Saturday in Uyo, stated that what the country is experiencing is the end product of PDP’s years of mismanagement.
He noted that Akwa Ibom State notwithstanding being ruled by PDP has benefited immensely from the APC administration led by President Muhammadu Buhari through the establishment of a fertilizer blending plant, power plant, and the construction of the damaged Calabar/Itu highway.
“The All Progressives Congress,(APC) administration ably led by President Muhammadu Buhari has done what Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) could not do for over 15 years of their rulership in the country.”
“In Akwa Ibom for instance, President Buhari has built a fertilizer blending plant worth 2 billion dollars, constructed a power plant worth 6.4 billion Naira, released over 150 billion Naira for the reconstruction of Calabar/Itu highway, and the Federal University of Technology.”
“The State Government has told the people for seven years that it is constructing industries for the state but I have raw documents from the Cooperate Affairs Commission to show that all those industries constructed are not in the name of Akwa Ibom State or Ministry of Finance but are in the names of private individuals.”
“For us to continue in the development of the country as we are witnessing today, everybody irrespective of the political party you belong should vote APC in the forthcoming general elections.”
Enang, who is also the Director of the Directorate, called on all party faithful in the state to bury their differences, come together and mobilise support for all the candidates of the APC from the President to the State House of Assembly.
He explained that the group formation was for both former lawmakers and those who contested for Senate, Governorship, House of Representatives, and the House of Assembly and either lost or won, adding that the aim is to achieve unity to mobilize support for the party.
Enang further noted that the meeting would afford the party the opportunity to assign roles to members in preparation for the January 12 Presidential rally in the state.
Also speaking, the Zonal Secretary of the party, Dr. Ita Udosen, commended Senator Enang over what he described as an intelligent move to unite the party.
He noted that the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Mr. Umana Okon Umana, was also toeing the same path for the unity of the party and appealed to all APC members in the state to heed the call and work together for the progress of the APC in the state.
