The APC in Anambra has become nothing more than a skit-makers club. The party’s series of tales by moonlight surrounding the 2025 gubernatorial election continue to provide Ndi Anambra endless amusement. Just this past weekend, they took to social media with yet another display of error, celebrating their candidate’s supposed victory in Edo state with the proclamation, “We will capture Anambra state governorship in 2025.” This series of blunders can only be seen as a pathetic attempt at entertainment by a party that has stooped to the level of a comedy troupe.

The APC has never had a presence in Anambra. Historically, as well as in the present, their candidates and members have never won a political ward for their party in any elections in our state. It is widely known that the APC lacks popularity, has a tarnished reputation among Anambra families, and is simply not accepted in the state. Therefore, bringing up the APC in Anambra is akin to mentioning the late “Derico”.

The APC Anambra has quarantined itself into self-exile by abstaining from the September 28 local council elections, thus depriving themselves of the chance to test their popularity among Ndi Anambra. It is widely known that the APC Anambra members, leadership, and the party’s future governorship candidate are anticipating campaign funds earmarked for 2025.
