3 Teenagers Bag 5 Years Jail Term Over Anal S*x With Man, 37

A 37-year old man, Chibuzo Peter, has been sentenced to 14 years imprisonment for having anal sex with three teenagers, Solomon Sunday, 18, Ezirim Chimezie 18, and Anthony Oparaugo, 19, in Imo State. 

 

The teenagers, Sunday, Chimezie and Oparaugo, were also Jailed for five years for permitting Peter to engage them in anal sex under the Criminal Laws of the State.

 

P.M.EXPRESS reports that it was the judgment of the Presiding Magistrate,  Stella Uche Chukwu, of the Owerri Magistrate Court in Imo State, who sentenced them accordingly having pleaded guilty.

 

The Court also sentenced Peter to seven years imprisonment for conspiracy with the three teenagers to commit unnatural offence under Section 516 of the Criminal Code.

Howver, Sunday, Chimezie, and Oparaugo were sentenced to five years imprisonment with an option of N500, 000 fine each for contravening Section 214 of the Criminal Code, which stated: “Any person who permits a male person to have carnal knowledge of him or her against the order of nature is guilty of felony and is liable to 14 imprisonment”.

 

They were found guilty on the four-count charge and the Court convicted and sentenced them accordingly. Both sentences against Chibuzo Peter were to run concurrently.

Before pronouncing the sentences, the Court took evidence from the Investigating Police Officer (IPO), Kingsley Nwaoha, who stated that the accused were caught in the act, and that they made confessional statements which were tendered in evidence as exhibits.

They were remanded in custody at the correctional centre pending where they will serve their prison term or pay the fines before they will be released in respect of the option of fine imposed on the teenagers.
